Verdict
Lucky Lodge should have done better on his latest outing having escaped a penalty for winning an apprentices’ race here earlier when Kafoo finished a close-up third. Chaucer's Tale has been thereabouts since winning at Newcastle in November while Joey's Destiny can be forgiven a recent poor run at Southwell and won off a much higher mark over track and trip last summer. But GOLD FLASH has also tumbled down the weights since landing a double here early last year and has finished closer with each outing since returning from a lay-off. It could be his turn again as he drops down in class.
