Verdict
Repeat, Arrogant Prince and Lucayan Monarch are all on the shortlist for this seller, and we are happy to side with the Paul Blockley gelding Lucayan Monarch. The selection ran well last time out at Southwell when fourth behind Mutarafaa in a decent race over 7 furlongs. He will be suited by the step up in trip here and with winning form to his name on this track he looks the one to beat. Repeat could represent the main danger as this gelding was a fair fourth on this track behind Hiawatha last time, and he has shown a consistent level of form. He will not be too far away at the finish and looks to have excellent place prospects. Arrogant Prince is a course and distance winner and this gelding from the Ian Semple yard loves this track so has to be respected. Of the rest, Better Off has winning form here so can not be discounted, but he will need things to drop right if he is to take a hand in the finish, so we are happy to stick with Lucayan Monarch.
