        Verdict

        A weak contest and ALDABRA may prove good enough on her belated reappearance. She never figured in three starts over 7f last year but is expected to improve over this longer trip like so many of Sir Mark Prescott’s runners. Red Bond has placed at Musselburgh recently without threatening the winner while several step up in distance including Makambe, a runner-up here recently. Miss Clementine won over 1m2f at Beverley in June and the unexposed City Of Life is fitted with cheekpieces.
