Another tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Special Gold, Desert Opal Henry Tun and the narrow vote is given to Special Gold. The selection has been in good form of late and was a fair second behind Howards Princess last time out; that form has since been franked and off the same mark and from a good draw he looks the one to be on. Desert Opal rates the main danger as he has dropped to a handy mark, goes well at the track but this hold up performer will need plenty of luck in running and at likely odds he looks worth taking on. Henry Tun is another that loves this track but he now looks weighted up to his best. Patavium Prince is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks vulnerable under top weight. Of the remainder, Carcinetto has been done no favours by the draw but for the winner we return to Special Gold.
