    Verdict

A case of leading stables hoping to notch a win for inmates down the pecking order in their respective yards. Star Legend showed ability on second start for William Haggas but was then gelded after being tailed off next time. He returns to action with first-time cheekpieces and the champion jockey is booked. Vega Sicilia has been consistent enough in three starts for Roger Charlton and seems likely to run his race once again, which should see him involved, whilst Carzola is a likely improver for Ralph Beckett after a satisfactory debut fourth here. However, SUNSTONE (NAP) was a much-improved third of nine on her third start and then saw everything go wrong on handicap debut when failing to obtain a proper passage when still only beaten under four lengths. She should go close with a clear run.
