In depth

Verdict

Another trappy race in which plenty hold chances but Littleton Zephir can take this at the expense of Chantry Falls and Risk Free. Prue Townsley may not be prolific in terms of numbers but her team are in good form at the moment and Littleton Zephir looks to have an obvious opportunity to graduate from banded stakes company. A winner over course and distance, a mark of 52 does not overzealous. Chantry Falls finally consented to get his head in front for new connections. That said it was in a truly awful race and there is much better opposition on view. Risk Free is due to go up 3lb in the handicap beyond today's race so David Evans is taking his chances while he can. He is well in vis-a-vis his time with Nick Littmoden. Sorbiesharry runs consistently enough here while Ballygriffin Kid is interesting now that the young apprentice has been replaced by Neil Callan. Angelo's Pride, Golden Spectrum and Knickyknackynoo are watched in case of any market confidence. This looks an obvious chance for Littleton Zephir to graduate into non-banded company and we still be recommending her as the win bet.
