      Verdict

METHAYEL was fancied to make a winning return to action at Lingfield last month but failed by a nose. Clive Brittain's filly should make no mistake this time and gets the vote. Cut The Cackle went close at Kempton last week and had previously finished ahead of Secret Queen at the same track. The latter has since gone close herself and is preferred to Caramelita, whose recent third came over a shorter trip on the Fibresand. Mawjoodah returns from a lay-off but has a shout on her fourth over C&D in September as she can race off a 2lb lower mark today.
