        Verdict

        A wide open handicap to finish the card and we will give a tentative vote to Wainwright, Joyeaux and Gone'n'dunnett look to be the main dangers. Paul Blockley's gelding has been a model of consistency and certainly deserves to land a race of this nature. He was just over three lengths behind Local Poet on his last run and a repeat of that effort could be good enough here. Joyeaux came up against the in form Kennington last time and did well to get so close, another big run can be expected this afternoon. Kennington's trainer Christine Dunnet is represented here by Gone'n'dunnett, who put in an excellent performance last time behind Alpaga Le Jomage. He rarely runs a bad race and he can make the frame again today. All in all a very open contest, but Wainwright is overdue another victory and he is a sporting selection.
