Verdict
The John Weymes-trained Miami Gator has shown improved form in recent starts in handicaps with wins at Lingfield and over course and distance either side of a decent second here behind The Glamour Cat and he has every chance dropped into a claimer but may struggle to give weight to TUSCAN KING, who looks the one to beat with the main danger rated as Sunrise Lyric. Paul Cole's filly is less exposed than most of these after just four starts and she ran well in this grade last month when a close third behind Kirsty's Boy at Lingfield; a reproduction of the form shown that day will see her go close but she has a bit to find with the selection on official BHA ratings. Willie Musson's Broughtons Swinger is held by Sunrise Lyric on running at Lingfield and of more interest may be James Bethell's Vittachi, who had been running well in defeat prior to gaining a deserved success is a seller here last time and he has to be respected. Gay Kelleway's Kings Aphrodite has given little sign of encouragement from his three starts and a safer option looks to be Tuscan King. The David Evans-trained gelding has been the model of consistency of late, including in this grade, and he has solid claims of resuming winning ways having only been beaten a head at Lingfield last time.
