Verdict

A poor maiden where INFLAMMABLE and Laureldeans Best look the pick on paper and the vote goes with the former. Sir Mark Prescott's filly has been runner-up three times in seven starts, going particularly close when a length adrift of King Red over 1m 6f here last time. Knowing that she stays further, Seb Sanders can hopefully make this into a true test of stamina and with what we have seen from the others she looks capable of breaking her duck. If she is to succumb to one then that one looks to be Laureldeans Best. Richard Fahey's filly has shown promise in a couple of similar races so far, making the frame each time, and her trainer has not been keen to ask too much of her just yet. This step up in trip is not certain to suit her, but nor is she without hope and we anticipate improvement. Desert Fairy was readily held over course and distance last time, but in context that was a reasonable run and she has frame claims along with thorough stayer The Last Bottle. Debutant Misty Kit is unlikely to be anything special and Inflammable can score.
