Verdict
Rated 78, STANLEY BALDWIN sets a decent standard back at this level after missing out by only a neck in a handicap at Newcastle. He’s taken to come out best in this. Mercurius Power still finished ahead of Royal Heart and Nayon when fourth here on his debut despite running green while The Thunderer placed over track and trip on his introduction and is preferred to Alto Volante. The newcomer Liverpool Knight is a half-brother to a Group 2 winner and should be noted representing the powerful Gosden yard.
