In depth
Verdict
Tuscany ended last season with a double but hasn’t raced since beating BALTIC PRINCE a neck over track and trip in November. The latter has subsequently won at Kempton and having gone close again at the same track last time, Tony Carroll’s charge gets the nod. Nick Vedder has found one too good over a mile at Newcastle the last twice while Fire Diamond was runner-up in a claimer at Lingfield recently but jockey bookings suggest stablemate Mr Christopher is preferred. Sayesse won at Lingfield earlier but never threatened off today’s higher mark on his latest start.
