Back over this trip, INSIDE TRACK looks well treated at these weights and can take this claimer at the main expense of Royal Box and Flipping. The selection was twice runner-up over a similar trip to this in maiden company earlier in the year, and has not been seen to best effect when dropped to 7f for his last two starts. He has to prove himself on this surface, but that aside he has pounds in hand and over this trip can break his duck. Royal Box is already a winner, having scored on soft ground at Leicester over 6f in July. This step up to a mile or so for the first time may elicit improvement, and it will probably need to do, but he should stay and is respected. Flipping was also a soft ground winner over 6f, in his case at Haydock in maiden company, but the handicapper has been asking a bit too much of Stuart Kittow's charge and this drop into a claimer may see him to better effect, so watch the market for confidence. Underworld Dandy gets at least as far as this and handled this surface well enough in a course and distance claimer in October and is relatively consistent, so he looks capable of getting involved without winning this, and that honour can go to Inside Track.
