In depth

Verdict

Sonny Jim was tailed off over track and trip on his penultimate start and finished a long way behind runner-up Strandfield Bay here last time. But the latter has yet to prove she stays this far having gone close over the short 1m2f at this track. GWAEL makes more appeal as James Tate's filly has been placed over today's distance at Southwell on a couple of occasions now and may well find this faster surface more to her liking. The Street Cry filly, Summer School, makes her racecourse debut and is worth noting along with Silent Sam of the newcomers.
