Verdict

Agapanthus will find today's distance short enough on his first start since October and PETROL looks a safer proposition. He was well backed here last week to make a winning debut for David O'Meara and duly obliged when beating previous winner Lytham with plenty in hand. This is no tougher and he's preferred to Crucis Abbey, a runner-up at Kempton on Wednesday. Lord Paget and Justcallmehandsome had both ran well here before disappointing on their latest starts while Maz and Belle Noverre are worth noting in the betting having both tumbled down the weights.
