In depth

Verdict

From a short list containing Missie Baileys, Lady Taverner and Ronsard, we will side with Missie Baileys. If anywhere near the level of her spring course and distance form, Lady Taverner would be one of the leading players here against what look to be, overall, a modest set of opponents. Qaasi ran well here on Monday and should be considered although he is unproven at today's trip. Missie Baileys is on a winning mark from February and, even though that came over 10 furlongs at Lingfield, she has plenty of form at today's trip and is another to consider, hence her choice as the selection. Little Richard, who won over course and distance in January from a one-pound lower mark, is another to consider although he has been absent since March. Finally, Keshya has been given a chance by the handicapper now, Ulysees would have a good chance on Turf form but his all-weather record is not good, and Second Reef is a recent scorer but is unproven at today's trip, and if Ronsard's apparent return to form last time can be believed, he is another that you would have to seriously consider over what is a new trip for him. For the selection, though, we will stick with Missie Baileys.
