Verdict
Lord Chamberlain looked on the way back to his best last time and he can take this competitive apprentice handicap, Taranaki and Alpaga Le Jomage can also take a hand in the finish. Milton Bradley's veteran ran well in a course and distance claimer last time, finishing an excellent third behind Mystic Man. His earlier handicap form is also rock solid and he looks the pick of the weights today. Alpaga Le Jomage caused a bit of a shock when landing a Southwell handicap last time, he stayed on strongly over that six furlong trip and he should appreciate this step up in trip. Taranaki displayed much improved form last time when only four lengths behind Spindor over this trip at Lingfield, another bold run can be expected. Dudley Doctor and Miskina are two others worthy of a mention, but Lord Chamberlain has proved he is no back number and he gets our vote.
