Several have been competing in lowly classified races but this isn’t much tougher though Lady Florence has been raised 9lb for winning at Lingfield. Independence Day was placed in classified company at Beverley when ahead of Frow and Secret Identity wasn’t beaten that far despite finishing only sixth over track and trip last time. But SMOKEY has placed on Turf in both starts in handicaps so far and she gets another chance back on the all-weather in a weak contest.
