In depth
Verdict
This can be one for Kieren Fallon, who rides Diamond Orchid, with the partnership's biggest dangers looking to be King Halling ahead of Defana and Romeo's Day. Because she has form higher marks on the Flat, Diamond Orchid comes firmly into the reckoning in this weak race and, with the champion, Kieren Fallon - who gets on well with her - booked to ride, she looks set to run a big race. She also has form on Lingfield's Polytrack surface. King Halling appeared to improve in first-time blinkers last time and, dropped to this grade for the first time, has to be considered. Romeo's Day came good at Brighton last time, but lacks experience of the surface, while Defana is also unproven on all-weather surfaces, although she managed to score in selling handicap company at Redcar two runs ago. However, for us Diamond Orchid is set to sparkle for Kieren Fallon in the penultimate race of the night.
