      Verdict

      Vexillum won over track and trip off a slightly lower mark last season but was well beaten in a claimer the last time he raced on the Flat. Authentication wasn't beaten far at Pontefract last time but that was over 2m2f in testing ground. Gabrial The Thug posted a better effort on his latest start but that was on the Fibresand at Southwell and LACEY makes most appeal in this. He went close over a longer trip here last month but scored over 1m5f at Lingfield earlier and gets the nod on that form.
