Verdict
Salateen won last year’s renewal with Summer Icon well behind but raced three times without success at Meydan earlier this year. SECOND THOUGHT made a winning return in 2017 for the first of four victories, culminating in a Listed success at Kempton in November. The Haggas colt remains open to further progress as a four-year-old and gets the vote. Masham Star is another with a shout on his return having been gelded over the winter while Early Morning has the beating of Star Quality both on these terms and on recent collateral form. Mutawathea needs to find a bit more to figure and Make Music has a tough task at the weights.
