In depth

Verdict

Councellor, Byron Bay and General Feeling are three against the field in a competitive finale and the vote is given to Byron Bay. The selection won well last time out when beating Speed Dial Harry and although he has a penalty for that win, he won with a little in hand and is taken to defy the handicapper. Councellor rates the main danger as he also won well last time out when beating Hits Only Cash. However although he is sure to run his race he does not win as often as he should and at likely odds he looks worth taking on. General Feeling is another that could go well on his latest second behind Local Poet but he is another that finds it hard to get his head in front. Northern Desert was unlucky in running last time and he is another with place claims but will do well to win from his wide draw. Of the remainder, Lake Chini is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but for the winner we return to Byron Bay.
