Verdict
Master Theo gets the vote to give weight away all round here and is taken to score at the main expense of La Puce and Night Storm. The last mentioned won a similar contest over course and distance last time and is entitled to respect but the opposition looks tougher here and preference is for Master Theo. Hugh Collingridge's gelding has run some decent races in defeat of late, latterly when a close second in a handicap at Goodwood. Earlier form at Lingfield indicates that he is at least as good on the Polytrack and the American-bred is taken to gain a deserved first success. Norma Macauley has a fine record with her runner son sand and this looks a more realistic target for her Come What July than recent assignments, while Go Yellow is capable but inconsistent. Paul Blockley's Yashin is closely matched with Night Storm on running here last time and is another to consider along with La Puce, who finished runner-up in a recent seller over course and distance and has since won a handicap at Newmarket. Master Theo has solid claims of finally opening his account though and he gets the vote.
