      Verdict

      Derby entry SEA THE SHELLS justified favouritism when returning an impressive winner over course and distance on his debut. Another bold bid is expected today, despite carrying a penalty. Echo Point’s penalty is negated by an apprentice’s allowance and he scored over a mile at Kempton on his introduction so the Godolphin charge is not easily dismissed. Coldstream placed at Chelmsford last time while the returning Otyrar looks best of the remainder stepping up in trip for the Gosden yard.
