In depth

Verdict

Sforzando showed guts to get up at Nottingham and now racing off a lower mark on this return to the all-weather she is fancied to oblige at the main expense of Alonso De Guzman. It was a blanket finish in the race that the selection won at Nottingham but she wasn't winning out of turn having kept her form pretty well all season. She has a fair mark on her return to an artificial surface and with confidence high she can score. Compton Dragon can get competitive now on a more solid underfoot surface having been bogged down at Newbury last time out, whilst Always Sparkle may do better now in handicap company for the first time. Alonso De Guzman comes here on top form having recorded a good victory against a renowned dodge-pot at the track last month. Jim Boyle's charge now steps up in trip and with further improvement very much possible, he cannot be ruled out. Raquel White is capable on her day and cannot be ruled out after a mini-break, however Sforzando comes here in good heart and she gets the nod.
