Verdict
Phinerine was just run out of it last time and can go one better this afternoon, Imperial Gem and Surf City are the obvious dangers. Peter Grayson's juvenile looked all over the winner at Lingfield last time but was collared in the shadow of the post by She Whispers. This race is of a very similar standard and he has to be given every chance. Imperial Gem has taken on better opposition without much success. However he has earned a rating in the 60's and so has to be considered now down in class. Surf City has a bit to find with the selection on Lingfield running, but was well supported on that occasion and may get a lot closer this time. Miss Lovat would be threat if returning to her best, but Phinerine looks winner waiting to happen and today could be the day.
