        Gypsy (IRE) Out of form recently and probably best watched until he produces a little of the form that saw him win a Class C handicap in 1998.

        Mon Prefere (FR) Ran a fair race at Lingfield 10 days ago and suggested that day a race like this could be within his compass.

        Godmersham Park Once useful handicapper who seems to have fallen out of love with the game; this is more his level so couldn't be without a chance.

        Village Native (FR) Hasn't really done anything recently to suggest he is capable of playing a role today; one to avoid.

        Field Master (IRE) Has been set some stiff tasks in handicaps recently; should play a major role today due to the sharp drop in grade.

        Snatch Fairly consistent but generally a poor sort who does not deserve to play a major role here.

        Cilantro Has made little progress since an encouraging 2-year-old debut; not to be trusted

        Druridge Bay (IRE) Poor selling plater and has been tried over hurdles with little success; usually finishes closer to last than first.

        Mike's Double (IRE) Hinted at ability on occasions but general level of form is poor and could not be backed with any level of confidence.

        Fleeting Fancy Never usually beats more than a few home and recent form does not suggest much change.

        Miss World (IRE) Trip may be inadequate but with a decent apprentice booked and the dire standard of competition on show then a minor place might not be out of the question.

        El Fuerte No sign of ability.

        Lynton Lad Likes this course and distance; recent poor run doesn't help his chances but may pick up some prize money.
