        Verdict

        The betting may provide a pointer as to which one of these is expected to improve the most. A speculative vote goes the way of FONDLY, a half-sister to the top-class Canford Cliffs but unfancied on her recent introduction when she never threatened. Lamsa is also bred to be much better than her debut eighth on the Turf course at Lingfield last year while Miss Excellence may improve for today's longer trip. Starlight Genie has finished runner-up in both starts but never looked like catching the winner on either occasion.
