Verdict
Iftikhar has been knocking on the door and should take advantage of this opportunity, with Summer Serenade and Kingston Harbour put up as two possible dangers. Ifitkhar was well fancied here a fortnight ago but again found one too good when beaten a short-head by Theatre Tinka. He may well have won had he gone for home sooner, but even so it was yet another good effort and connections now try a shorter trip in a bid to get him to break his duck. It is hard to make claims for any of the rest but Summer Serenade, who has failed to build on a promising Windsor debut in the summer, should improve in time. Ex-Irish Kingston Harbour has his first run for Vince Smith, having last been seen out at Faiyhouse in August. He is probably best watched today as are the rest of these, with Iftikhar very much the one to beat on past form.
