PRECOCIOUS AIR is a hopeful selection to land this opening contest; Madam'X and Cafe Mystique are put forward for minor honours. Dropped into selling company for the first time, Precocious Air was staying on in the closing stages and possibly if ridden closer to the pace here, she could take some beating. Madam'X faces a very stiff task on the weights with Precocious Air. She is a lightly raced filly though with possibly some improvement to come. Cafe Mystique drops back marginally in trip from his UK debut. He stayed on well having been slow away there. He makes his debut for the David Barron but in the same ownership, this well bred sort cannot be left out of it. Telling Stories and Lucky Punt are others to consider. The last named had Cafe Mystique behind at Kempton but it is hardly encouraging for David Barron's charge that Lucky Punt left the form down next time out. Precocious Air is given the nomination to land it.
