In depth
Verdict
Strangely for a race of this nature, a few of these arrive here in good heart, which should make for a competitive race for the grade. However, form over the trip is a little patchy, so only a tentative vote goes to Sweetwater, whose proven stamina can help her wear down Come What July and Zeloso, who also arrive here on the back of fair performances last time. The last named has the stamina to make sure that whoever adopts the pacesetting duties will have to be on their mettle to last home today. The Milton Harris-trained gelding has been very hard to win with on the Flat though, and could he be vulnerable to a strong finisher. Molly's Secret, on the other hand, has not been getting home over shorter and her connections take a stab in the dark as to whether she will stay this afternoon. Therefore, the claims of Sweetwater are very hard to ignore over a trip that obviously suits and she can get the better of her old rival Come What July, as she meets that rival on much more favourable terms this afternoon.
