        Verdict

        Xhosa confirmed the merit of a pleasing introduction when runner-up in similar company on Lingfield's equitrack surface last week and sets the standard. Royal Fashion shaped promisingly on her debut when a staying-on second in a seller over 5f late last month. Andrew Reid's charge will appreciate the extra furlong but this is a tougher heat while Flake takes a drop in class and is open to further improvement.
