Montage can outstay his rivals here, with Swords, Zalkani and Jadeeron all expected to make their presence felt. Montage was successful over 14 furlongs here earlier in the season, and last time out was just denied by Irish Ballad over the same trip. He hung under pressure that day and looked as though a slightly longer trip would be in his favour. He gets the chance to show what he can do with a bit further to travel here, and off what still looks a fair mark, is taken to get the losses back. Swords has been frustrating to follow, but Heather Dalton's charge has won two of his last four starts, including over the course-and-distance, and is another out to retrieve recent losses. He will no doubt be there or thereabouts again along with Zalkani who shapes as though there is a race in him over today's trip. Jadeeron is not badly handicapped these days, and Moon Emperor could go well despite topweight. However, Montage has caught the eye in defeat lately, and is taken to make amends.
