Verdict
Royal Challenge has run into form and is selected in the finale. Tag Team and Chatshow also merit respect, while Rainbow Fox would be a threat if he gets the rub of the green. Rainbow Fox lost all chance at the start at Catterick last time out and that run can safely be ignored. He is better judged on his victory at Hamilton in August and similar effort would see him in the thick of the action. Chatshow is consistent at this level and, although on a long losing run, he is still capable on his day. However, he may need to drop a few more pounds in the ratings before gaining maximum confidence. Tag Team is another with a similar profile, in that he needs everything to go right for him. However, he is undoubtedly well treated just now and has to be on the shortlist. Still, there may be better value to be had with the likes of Royal Challenge, who shaped as if his turn was not too far away when he finished third behind Magic Glade last month. A mark of 67 is 19lbs below his career high. And underpins the theory that if Royal Challenge runs to his best, he is going to be hard to master today.
