A weak maiden to begin with and the vote goes to Distant Drama ahead of Towy Girl. Dangers look thin on the ground for Distant Drama here and hoping to build on a good second at Goodwood, Jeremy Noseda's filly is fancied to score. A 67,000 euros purchase, she was only beaten by half a length and from a good draw here is given the nod. Crimson Fern could be capable of better than her debut run, however a more feasible danger could be Towy Girl. Although yet to win in nine starts, Tony Carroll's filly has run some good races in defeat and now dropped in trip she could go close. Newcomer North Rider needs a check in the betting on his debut but doesn't really look an obvious threat, whilst North Stars and Millsini both need to improve. A vile maiden, and it looks a straightforward task for Distant Drama.
