Verdict

A chance is taken on WIGRAM'S TURN. Mick Easterby's gelding has signalled a return to form of late and with a mark of 78 making plenty of appeal considering he won off a mark of 85 just over a year ago when trained by Andrew Balding. The filly Mazamorra comes here in great nick but the handicapper has not gone easy on her for her victory here last month and she needs to improve again, whilst Fine Sight ran well in defeat at Newbury when last seen and his earlier Dandino form commands respect. Top-weight Celtic Change needs more respite from the handicapper, and a bigger threat might be Agent Archie who was on a real roll earlier in the year before running in some big handicaps but he is of more interest now back in grade. Inheritor, the potentially well-treated Aultcharn, and William Van Gogh are all to be respected. The last-named flopped on soft ground last time, but along with the blinkered Jarrow is not one to take lightly.
