        Verdict

        Fenners, Arondo and Zalkani are the three to focus on here, with Fenners set to reap the reward of some consistent efforts. Zalkani has not won in nine attempts since scoring at Lingfield in March but he has run well in defeat and has been dropped a couple of pounds. He looks well treated and it would be no surprise to see him go close in this modest affair. The German bred Arondo is an interesting runner on his first outing in this country. He has been running in Ireland and shaping well, although a little one paced in third when made favourite on his latest outing. A Newcastle handicap winner in May, Fenners has run well on each of his two starts on the all-weather, finishing well in second last time. He runs off the same mark here, and despite top weight, Fenners can show that form is good enough.
