Verdict
To Wit To Woo gets the nod here ahead of Our Destiny and Sorbiesharry. The Barry Hills-trained selection is getting the hang of things now but has been raised two pounds for getting beaten last time out although that might not be a bad mark at this trip, which seems to suit better. Desert Heat's form tailed off from the summer and the first-time visor would need to bring about some improvement. Rocinante is racing from just a pound higher mark than when winning over course and distance in October but lacks a recent run. Bramantino hinted at Southwell last time that he might be keeping a bit back, and maybe first-time blinkers will help in this respect. Our Destiny's course wins have come at a low level but Interstice is entitled to be competitive from his current mark, but will the trip be too short - as most of his wins have come at middle distances? Givemethemoonlight has been caught out from revised marks, while Taiyo, who is improving, may not quite be up to taking a race of this nature just yet. Sorbiesharry remains consistent and is just a pound higher in the ratings than for his recent course win. Air Of Esteem is also a course winner and, if you factor in his rider's allowance, you could build a case for him. An interesting affair, then, one in which we will stick with To Wit To Woo.
