        Verdict

        Pearl Ransom has been thereabouts over a mile of late but has come up short in a couple of previous attempts at today's longer trip. WALK LIKE A GIANT makes more appeal for an in-form yard on his narrow-margin defeat over 1m2f at Chelmsford last time and he gets the vote. Les Gar Gan won a seller at Lingfield earlier but was well beaten in a handicap last month and Surround Sound may prove a bigger threat off his current mark stepping back up in trip.
