    Verdict

Another wide open contest rounds off the card and many can be given chances on their best form but the principals look to be Ben Hur,Crusoe, Be Wise Girl, Jackie Kiely and Gold Guest and the narrow vote is given to Crusoe. The selection was a good second behind the well handicapped Colemanstown last time and with this longer trip sure to suit he will be hard to beat. Ben Hur rates the main danger on his best form but his best efforts are over a longer trip and for that reason he is opposed. Be Wise Girl is another worthy of respect on his latest fourth behind Separated but he has been tried over a variety trip without success and for that reason he is opposed. Jackie Kiely is well handicapped on her best form but has shown very little of late so can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Gold Guest is another with place claims but he looks weighted up to his best and for the winner we return to Crusoe.
