Verdict

SUMMERINTHECITY is unexposed and is taken to see off Gouray Girl. Jeremy Noseda's colt wasn't disgraced in defeat at York but this drop in grade and trip looks ideal on his return from a break and with the surface unlikely to be a problem he should bounce back. Gouray Girl is a course and distance winner and she was ultra-consistent last year on a variety of ground; now returned to the all-weather for her return to action it's not inconceivable that she'll make a winning reappearance. Ivory Silk and Imprimis Tagula look a tad high in the weights, so our selection may have more to fear from the well-treated Excellerator or the in-form (and Kieren Fallon-ridden) Arabian Mirage.
