Verdict

Axe Axelrod has failed to land the odds in both starts now after last month’s defeat at Ayr while Beleaguerment returned a losing favourite at Salisbury recently having been narrowly beaten here earlier. Zmhar was placed over 7f at Chelmsford before struggling over the same trip here so the vote goes to CRACKING SPEED after Richard Hannon’s grey showed a big improvement over 6f at Leicester on his latest outing. Suppressor, Shallow Hal and Budaiya Fort made only modest debuts with the former preferred.
