        Verdict

        Marakash is having both his first run for 147 days and his first for his new yard since leaving the Sir Michael Stoute. He was certainly one of the lesser lights for his old yard and became a very disappointing horse to follow showing very little sign of possessing a turn of foot. This is a poor race and although he's the likely favourite, the gelding is well worth taking on. Jamie Osborne's yard are in great form at the moment and the TEAMtalk vote goes to his representative King David who showed signs of ability in maidens on the turf and should be all the better for his first run on this surface last time out. The remainder have shown little on form to date although Crusoe has been racing in better company and it would be no surprise to see him in the shake-up on a surface which he is already proven on. Young Collier represents a stable who has to be respected at this track but he showed nothing on his debut and is best watched.
