Verdict
THE STEWARD (NAP) was beaten only a short-head at Kempton on his first start since April. With further progress likely, Sir Mark Prescott's charge may prove good enough in this. Most of the remainder ran below par on their latest starts though Zand wasn't beaten far when fifth in better company at Newbury and Modernism ran well in a Class 2 contest at Ayr. Hamelin was tailed off over 1m6f last time and still beaten five lengths when runner-up here before that with Castilo Del Diablo just behind in third. Kempton winner Aussie Andre has found a rise in the weights beyond him but My Reward may do better for today's return to 1m4f.
