        Verdict

        Lastkingofscotland was runner-up to Small John, who runs in the previous race, at this track last month and is usually thereabouts at this level, while Aragorn Rouge can be forgiven his latest poor effort on Fibresand as he's a winner on the Polytrack at Dundalk. Hold The Star has been raised a harsh looking 9lb for a C&D maiden victory and Alkadi is too inconsistent to be a strong fancy. A chance is taken on CHAMBLES instead as she's gone close at Kempton since winning her only start to date at this track and Kieren Fallon takes over the reins today.
