Verdict
Good Wee Girl can win a weak contest, with Lateral Thinker, Mitchelland and Norcroft expected to give her most to do. Bets should be kept to a minimum in this poor affair but the vote goes to Good Wee Girl who has already scored twice this term, at Leicester and Chester. That latest effort came in claiming company but she has since been a little unlucky in running in better grade races than this, and the drop to this level should see her get back to winning ways. However, it is a little worrying that she is now going to mix it with these lowly opponents and it would not do to plunge in. Lateral Thinker was only fourth when favourite at Windsor last time but has won on this surface at Lingfield and comes from a stable that does well with its juveniles. Mitchelland has gone backwards since beating Bibury Flyer at Newcastle in April, while Norcroft has also regressed since the spring. Any of those could take this if showing past sparkle, but Good Wee Girl appears to hold the best claims overall.
