Verdict
The inform Silver Hotspur makes most appeal as he bids to defy a further 6lb penalty at the main expense of Sion Hill and Sovereignty. Michael Wigham's charge beat Sion Hill over course and distance in November. Strictly speaking on the weights, Sion Hill should reverse the placings but Silver Hotspur could still be improving and is taken to score. Sion Hill is exposed and races off a 3lb higher mark than his most recent victory at Kempton. That was quite a weak contest and more will be required today. Sovereignity has been sliding down the weights and runs off a mark 14lb lower than his most win over one year ago. On that basis he is worth considering and could be an each way alternative under his capable apprentice. Silver Hotspur is our selection to land the hatrick.
