In depth

Verdict

Your Band trounced the opposition over 1m6f at Chelmsford last week. This longer trip should not be a problem but a 9lb hike in the weights might be. Bumper winner BLAZON won over 2m at Kempton a fortnight ago and there should be more to come from him on the Flat. He’s preferred to winning hurdler The Way You Dance, who won twice over today’s trip on the all-weather last year but hasn’t raced since July. Omotesando went close over 1m5f last time and has won over track and trip in the past but Galileo's Spear disappointed once again at Newcastle last time.
