Verdict
Division Two of the nine-furlong handicap looks slightly better than the first but with nothing jumping off the page we give KIRSTY'S LAD the chance to get back to winning ways now back to his last winning mark with Machinate also considered at a price and Wetherby Place should be a leading player. All four of the picks career wins have come at this venue and he's pretty much been solid since that win off this rating in late January. That was over course and distance so at the prices he might be worth risking. Machinate is another who likes it here and should be capable off this mark based on his old form. You have to take a leap of faith with him after his last performance but he looks the value each-way play. Wetherby Place was expected to go one better last time when only just missing out on gold. He was still a little keen that day and with just a pound added to his back he has a strong claim if settling better. Mountain Pass and Athboy Auction have to be looked at after winning last time out but sometimes in this game you have to take a risk and we take a calculated one with Kirsty's Lad.
