Verdict
In an ultra tight handicap we're just going to side with STEEL CITY BOY, who's weighted to get the better of Sir Geoffrey after their last meeting while Anne Of Kiev isn't without chances. Having finished a neck behind Sir Geoffrey on his last start the selection has a small pull in the weights that might get him on top. Normally we'd be worried that he's up in the weights despite defeat, but that's the case with most of the leading protagonists and although now fully exposed he still has the talent to win a race like this. Sir Geoffrey has certainly been progressive since re-appearing in February but he will need to show more again if he is to reaffirm superiority over Steel City Boy now under a penalty. Anne Of Kiev has a good strike rate here and was a close up third of six last time out so off the same mark has to be considered. Handsome Cross is rarely out of the frame but might just be a little high in the weights now back in this company while Master Lightfoot should go well after a decent run last time out. A tough start and Steel City Boy is our best suggestion.
